Tips on contact lensesđź‘€

Today I'd like to share my experiences using soft eye contact lenses. If you haven't noticed from my photos, I've been using contacts for several months and I get no problem to my eyes so maybe it'd be helpful for me to share some tipsy tips, hopefully.

For nearsighted people like me, I know very well that wearing glasses is tiring, it caused marks on my nose and so on. On the other hand, using contacts seems more convenient, I can wear eye makeup better with them, it's such a bonus.

At first, it was very difficult to apply contacts on both of my eyeballs just by myself, it took like an hour for it finally applied. However, it definitely worth all the attempts, trials and time. It was satisfying when I successfully wore the contacts. It felt like my eyes suddenly turn back to "normal". It felt good, although I felt a slight pain for only like shorter than a second at the first time I blinked my eyes with contacts on, and after that, I never feel pain on my eyes or anything at all. Just fine.
Thus, my main tip goes to: don't give up on trying to wear contacts but don't force it either. Follow the instructions, if you are too young please ask someone to assist you wearing the contacts. Don't forget to consult with your eye doctor first.

Some other tips should be noted:
1. Clean your hands, wash it with soap, before you are going to put the contacts ON and before you are going to take the contacts OFF
2. Don't wear makeup BEFORE you put your contacts on. Don't clean your makeup BEFORE you take your contacts off. This is to make sure that your hands are clean and free of makeup when touching the contacts. If it is not, then you might irritate your eyes because of the residual makeup on your hands.
3. Do not wear your contacts longer than 6-8 hours a day if you are using it on a daily basis (7 days a week). If you're using it only a few days a week, I personally think it's fine to wear it in a longer time. I sometimes wear them for 10-12 hours a day because I only use contacts like 3-4 days a week because at some moments I'm too lazy to wear it, especially when I'm just staying at home I won't use my contacts at all. Just please make sure that your eyes get enough rests and good sleep.
4. Use eyedrops which are specifically made for contact lens wearer. Don't use it more than twice a day. Never use it too much.
5. The contacts need to be soaked in the cleaning solution for contacts whenever you don't wear it. Always change the solution every day, at least change it once a day, also you can wash your contacts with the cleaning solution right before you put it on your eyes and right after you take it off your eyes.
I know it's a lot to do but seriously the maintenances actually worth it. All of the tips I mentioned above are based on my experiences and instructions from my optician. If you also have tips please kindly share it.

See u in the next post!
